LaCie has launched the USB 3.0 version of their rugged mobile external hard drive. The LaCie Rugged USB 3.0 touts speeds of up to 110MBps and the rugged label means the drive can survive drops of up to 2.2 meters or about 7ft.
The package also includes a complete software bundle for formatting and backup, plus a one-year 10GB Wuala online storage. Wuala.com is a subscription-based online storage service that lets you access your files over the Internet.
The LaCie Rugged SUB 3.0 starts at $150 for a 500GB model and is available now.
