Final Call: Take-a-View Landscape Photo Contest

Take-a-View Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards

UK’s Take-a-View Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards is making a final call for entries. Dealine for submission of entries to the photo competition is on July 12, 2008. The photo contest offers an impressive total prize fund of £20,000, including £10,000 cash for the overall winner.

Take-a-View is divided into two main sections, the Landscape Photographer of the Year Award and the Young Landscape Photographer of the Year Award, the latter being for those who are 16 and under. There are four categories within each of the two sections and up to 15 images per person may be entered across the categories.

You don’t have to be a pro or use professional cameras to enter the contest as long as the image must have been taken using a camera with a sufficiently high resolution to allow the image to be reproduced at A4 size or above (at 300 ppi). Fact is, there’s also a category for camera phones.

All images must have been taken in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel islands. Images that had been taken during the last 5 years are also eligible.

Entry fees for adults range from £7.00 to £25.00, depending on the number of images submitted. Youth entry fee is £2.00 for up to 15 images.

‘Take-a-View’ Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards is the brainchild of British landscape photographer Charlie Waite.
