Japan’s Y-E Data has unveiled the YD-8G20 self-service photo terminal to enable customers to print their own digital pictures in stores.
The basic system consists of a CPU, card reader, TFT monitor and direct thermal printer. The CPU specification varies from a Intel Celeron 2.5GHz to Pentium4 2.8GHz with DDR of 256MB up to 1GB, 40GB 7200rpm HDD, DVD-ROM and 15†TFT screen.
The built-in card reader can read various types of memory cards used in digital cameras and mobile phones, such as SD and miniSD cards and xD-Picture Cards.
The Y-E Data YD-8G20 measures 337 x 468 x 288mm and weighs 16 kg. Operating voltage range is 100V-240V. The self-service photo printer will be available in May.
