Zeiss Announces 7-Megapixel Photoscope 85 T* FL

German lens maker Carl Zeiss AG introduces their PhotoScope 85 T* FL, a new spotting scope featuring a 7-megapixel digital camera with a super tele-lens in one unit and offers a magnification range of 15-45x for observation and outdoor photography. It enables the simultaneous observation and image capture of faraway or small objects.

The new PhotoScope 85 offers a magnification range of 15-45x for observation and outdoor photography, a focal length of 600 to 1800 mm (35 mm format).

Carl Zeiss said the scope’s unique and unparalleled gigantic visual field (subjective viewing angle of von 68°, 80 m/1000m at 15x or 27 m/1000m at 45x) was made possible by a fully new lens concept.

The PhotoScope 85 T* FL is scheduled to ship for spring/summer of 2009.
