Your Cellphone as a Projector?

Integrated Photonics Module (IPM) by Microvision

Can you imagine using your cellphone as a projector? Microvision is threatening to do just that with their newfangled technology. Their miniature projection display prototype is based on Microvision’s proprietary Integrated Photonics Module (IPM), photo above, which they claim can project “extremely sharp and vivid” display.

The module can be embedded in personal gadgets like a cellphone, PDA or PMD and it can project displays as small as a notebook display to about the size of a big screen plasma TV.
