Winners of Street Photography Competition Announced at the Rencontres d’Arles Photography Festival

HP today announced the winners of its online Street Photography contest at the Rencontres d’Arles Photography festival.

The top winner is German Eduardo Hernández Saavedra from El Salvador for his photo “Cuerda Floja” (Tightrope) taken on a street in Havana Vieja, Cuba. The winning photo was chosen from more than 10,500 entries from 79 different countries ranging from Azerbaijan to Venezuela.

Saavedra wins an all-expenses-paid trip to the festival, including an exclusive dinner and portfolio review with Magnum photographer Stuart Franklin with an opportunity to gain valuable insights into Franklin’s work.

Thirty of the best images in the competition have been selected by Franklin to be printed on HP Z-series Photo printers and exhibited at the Hotel Arlatan for the duration of the festival, which runs from July 3 to September 16.
