What is Camera Raw, Again?

Here’s an introduction to Camera Raw, the Raw file converter from Adobe that comes with Lightroom, Bridge, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.

640pixels.com discusses the Raw image file with enough depth to get you acquainted with the unprocessed, uncompressed sensor data.

If you open a raw file from Adobe Bridge, Elements, Lightroom or Photoshop, the Adobe Camera Raw converter will automatically open. When you edit a raw file you don’t actually make changes to the raw file – instead changes are made to a sidecar “XMP” file which includes all the adjustments you made…
