Wacom Showcases Cintiq 12WX at UK Focus on Imaging 2008

Wacom Cintiq 12WX Interactive Pen Tablet/Display

Wacom is showcasing their flagship pen tablet model Cintiq 12WX at the 2008 Focus on Imaging photography expo February 24-27 in Birmingham, UK.

Wacom said the Cintiq 12WX is the company’s first hybrid product combining the advantages of a Cintiq interactive pen display with the portability and compact size of a traditional Intuos3 pen tablet. Offering slimline dimensions, the Cintiq 12WX mixes a high quality, 12.1” TFT display for direct pen-on-screen drawing, painting and sketching, with the advanced features and performance consistent with the Cintiq 21UX and Intuos3 range.

The Cintiq 12WX is for imaging professionals who can afford its £830 price. In the U.S., this high-end sibling of the Wacom Bamboo sells for $999, or about £500 (notice the price difference in British pounds?).

Also on display at the Wacom booth is the Intuos3 pen tablet system, together with the recently launched Special Edition Intuos3 A4 and Intuos3 A5 Wide tablets, as well as the Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display. The more affordable Bamboo Fun will also be there.
