US Embassy in Philippines Opens Picturing America Exhibits in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro Cities

 


Picturing America exhibit runs from June 23 to July 6 at the expansive Atrium of The Block at SM City North EDSA in Quezon City, Metromanila. The exhibit will later move to Baguio City on July 9-22 and to Cagayan de Oro City from July 25 to August 13.

US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney has launched “Picturing America” in Manila, an exhibition of masterpieces of art and photography by American artisans, artists, craftsmen, photographers and architects.

The exhibit include images by American masters such as Mary Cassatt, N.C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, Emanuel Leutze, Alexander Gardner, Dorothea Lange, Winslow Homer, George Catllin, Frank Lloyd Wright and many others. Picturing America exhibit runs from June 23 to July 6 at the Atrium of The Block at SM City North EDSA in Quezon City, Metromanila.

The Manila exhibit will run through July 6, 2009. “Picturing America” will then be on display in Baguio City, the Philippines’ summer capital, from July 9 to 22 at the Lower Ground Floor of SM City Baguio. Finally, the exhibit will move to Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao, from July 25 to August 13 at the Ground Floor, SM City Cagayan de Oro.
