Underrated Vivitar Vivicam 3105S Tops UK Bestseller List

Vivitar Vivicam 3105S Digital Camera

If you look at the specs and read some of the reviews about it, the underrated Vivitar Vivicam 3105S compact camera is a so-so camera, with only 3.2 megapixels, 4X digital zoom (no optical zoom!) and a tiny 1.5” LCD screen that users say is barely usable.

But at $70 or about £32, this little critter is a steal. And surprise of all surprises: it topped the GfK bestseller list in the UK, edging out the more glamorous models from Canon, Sony, Fujifilm and Kodak. It came out number one in the top sellers list among digital still cameras for the whole of 2007.

It outsold the likes of Canon EOS 400D, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W55, Canon Digital IXUS 70 and Kodak Easyshare C613!

When you come down to think about it, British consumers might have been drawn to its very good value for the money. It ain’t that bad, really. It takes decent pictures (shoots VGA movies too), very easy to use, and very easy on the pocket, both for its price and its size.
