Tokina Releases AT-X 124 PRO DX II AF 12-24mm F/4 AF Lens for Entry-Level Nikons

Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX II AF 12-24mm F/4 AF Lens

The new Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX II AF 12-24mm F/4 wide angle lens is now available for Nikon D40, D60 and D5000 DSLRs with silent wave bodies. Tokina said the new lens has a built-in AF motor drive that operates smoothly and quietly due to a DC motor that uses a new AF control gear assembly.

Like its predecessor, the AT-X 124 PRO DX II features the one-touch focus clutch mechanism. To use this feature the user simply moves the focus ring forward, towards the front of the lens, for AF or back for MF. This allows for a fast and easy manual over-ride in difficult lighting situations.

The Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX II features 13 lens elements in 11 groups and has a constant maximum f/4 aperture throughout its zoom range.
