Memory cards at CES 2007

Lexar released its Platinum II 4GB SDHC and Standard 4GB SDHC; Memorex unveiled their TravelCardSD’s of the High Speed and SDHC varieties ranging from 512MB to 4GB; Panasonic their Pro High Speed SD cards with 1GB, 2GB and 4GB capacities; Sony of course has outed their Memory Stick Pro Duo 8GB; and Toshiba their 4GB Class 6 SDHC.

These are the new memory cards which made their public debuts at the on-going CES 2007 in Las Vegas. The new releases indicate the growing popularity of the SD format, but insiders say the CompactFlash card will still have a place with high-end cameras.
