Peachpit has released The Digital Photographer’s Notebook: A Pro’s Guide to Adobe Photoshop CS3, Lightroom and Bridge authored by Kevin Ames, a commercial photographer who also writes for Photoshop User magazine. His Ames Photographic Illustration, Inc. studio specializes in commercial photography, retouching, and post-production services.

In the book, Kevin shares his expertise on digital photography workflow, organization and creative enhancements.

He shares his own image-making process from start to finish while explaining many key issues relevant to today’s professionals. The range of topics include the differences between RAW and JPEG, when to use which application, and how they work together.

The Digital Photographer’s Notebook is Kevin’s fourth book. He has been writing the column of the same name for Photoshop User magazine since 2002. His previous books include Digital SLR Photography with Photoshop CS2 for Dummies and The Art of Photographing Women (for both Photoshop CS and Photoshop CS2).
