Ten-Year-Old Alex Worthington is RSPCA Young Photographer of the Year 2007

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the UK has conferred to Alex Worthington, 10 years old, the RSPCA Young Photographer of the Year Award for 2007.

The boy from Lancaster bagged the top prize for his stunning picture of a chameleon. He received the Overall Winner award at a ceremony at the Natural History Museum in London.

Remarkably, Alex had a staggering four other pictures in the shortlist of photos for the competition, which receives thousands of entries. Last year, he was the winner of the Under 12 section.

The other winners for this year’s RSPCA YPY were Matthew Burrard-Lucas (17) of Sevenoaks, Kent – Portfolio; Isabella Williams (13) of London – Pet Personalities; Sophie Livsey (11) of Grantham, Lincolnshire – Under-12 Category; and Megan McCubbin (12) of Southampton, Hampshire – 12-18 Category
