Tamron Announces Winners of 2007 ‘An Emotional Appeal’ Photo Contest

Lance Taylor, a US Air Force captain and semi-pro photographer bagged the grand prize of Tamron’s ‘An Emotional Appeal 2007’ photo contest. His charming picture of his wife Jacqueline and 3-year old daughter Jillian, which he titled “Mixed Emotions,” earned him the happy prize and a Tamron 18-250mm lens.

The other favorites include “Home on the Ranch” by Becky Maness and “Bawling Baby Girl” by Nathan Maxfield. The winning photos can be viewed at the Tamron Gallery.

Meanwhile, the 2008 contest is on. Tamron USA is looking for images from scrapbook and photo enthusiasts that convey a variety of human emotions—happy, sad, tired, mad, etc. The Tamron “An Emotional Appeal” 2008 Photo Contest deadline is November 30, 2008. The contest winner will receive a Tamron AF28-300mm VC zoom lens with Vibration Compensation designed for all of today’s popular Canon and Nikon digital SLR cameras (a $600 street value).
