Strobist.com Launches 2007 Strobist Photos of the Year

Strobist Photos of the Year 2007

Online photography resource Strobist.com has launched the Strobist Photos of the Year contest. Winners, who will be announced on the last five days of 2007 (that will be Dec. 27-31), will be chosen from the photos in the Strobist Flickr Pool. If your photos are there already, you’re in for the contest. If not, then maybe there’s still time to join the Pool.

David Hobby of Strobist.com says he will choose 10 semifinalists between now and December 18th. From there, Seattle-based photographer Chase Jarvis will choose the five finalists.

Photos will be chosen based on overall impact, use of off-camera lighting, creativity and quality of the lighting information in the caption.

There will be five prizes to be awarded, including a Canon G9 top-of-the-line compact camera. The other prizes will be revealed soon.
