Sony 16GB Memory Stick PRO Duo

Sony has introduced a 16GB Memory Stick Pro Duo at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. The large-capacity flash storage media is intended for the new Sony Handycams which can now record up to 110 minutes of HD video in 1920 mode and almost six hours of HD video when shooting in 1440 LP mode using the new Memory Stick.

Sony said the new card offers easy transfer of footage between devices. It can be removed from a camcorder and placed into the Memory Stick media slot in compatible computers for editing and sharing content.

The 16GB Memory Stick PRO Duo media card will be available in March for about $300.
