Sony Announces New A300, A350 Digital SLRs

Sony Alpha A300 & A350 DSLR Cameras

Sony’s dead serious about its digital SLR business. The company today confirmed rumors about more DSLR models by officially announcing the 14.2-megapixel Alpha A350 camera and the 10.2-megapixel Alpha A300 DSLR cameras, a day ahead of PMA 08. Both the A350 and A300 are geared as entry-level DSLRs with new technologies that Sony says should make picture taking faster and easier.

One important feature of the new Sony cameras is the new Quick AF Live View; it enables the photographer to frame photos on the camera’s LCD without sacrificing auto-focusing speed, a bane common to other live-view systems. The 2.7-inch LCD screen of the new models can also tilt/swivel to frame scenes from high or low positions difficult to reach when using an eye-level viewfinder.
