Snug-it Offers Rubber Protection for Your Camera; Gawd, It’s Ugly!

Snug-it by HSGI

Here’s how to uglify your stylish compact digital camera: wrap it up in a Snug-it silicon cover from HSGI of Japan. The company says no, it does not hide the beauty of the camera; it protects your camera from harm. You just never know when you’re going to need this kind of rubber for your shiny new thing. The company says the protective cover is made of translucent, non-toxic, flexible, and durable silicone.

HSGI claims the petal-shaped lens cover protects the lens completely when not in use just like a lens cap. The Snug-it silicon cover can be used for the Canon IXY DIGITAL models 70 / 80 / 90 / 10 / 800 IS / IS 810 / IS 900 / IS 910 / 1000 / 2000 IS and Panasonic LUMIX DMC-is TZ3 / DMC-FX35. The silicon cover offers an anti-static finish to further repel dust and moisture and helps prevent surface scratches and dents.

With the cover on, HSGI said you can still change the memory card easily through a built-in opening. It’s available in black, white and pink colors for about $16 in Tokyo. I still say it’s ugly and you probably are not going to need it anytime soon.
