6th Celebrate the Sea Philippines 2007

The 6th Celebrate the Sea Marine Imagery Festival Philippines 2007 will be held in Manila from September 21 to 23.

Celebrate the Sea Philippines 2007 is being organized by the OceanNEnvironment Australia in collaboration with the Philippine Department of Tourism and the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving.

The main event comprises of imagery presentations and seminars by a panel of world renowned image makers and marine scientists such as David Doubilet of National Geographic, Jennifer Hayes – aquatic ecologist, Brad Norman– whale shark scientist, Michael AW – author Celebrate the Sea, Daniel Mercier – founder World Underwater Picture Festival and Scott Tuason – author Aniloa.

Another principal highlight is the International Underwater film festival; 15 recent award winning features from the World Festival of Underwater Pictures, Antibes will be presented at Celebrate the Sea. There will also be a photo exhibition of benchmarked underwater images by some of the world’s best underwater photographers plus all the prints in the competition.

And it gets better; attendees may also participate in the WOW Shout-Out Competition from September 16-21, where participants get to dive in some of the Philippines’ most beautiful and enchanting reefs. There’s a $2000 prize money for the best image in the contest.
