Sigma has announced the availability of a series of firmware and software updates to improve the capabilities of its Foveon-based cameras, the DP1rangefinder and SD14 digital SLR. The updates include:
• DP1 Firmware Ver.1.01
• SIGMA Photo Pro 2.5 for Windows
• SIGMA Photo Pro 3.2 for Macintosh
The firmware update for the Sigma DP1 rangefinder camera adds a grid display mode for picture taking and improves the camera’s stability.
The Sigma Photo Pro 2.5 for Windows improves color reproduction of the SD14’s RAW images while also correcting the green tint that could appear at the corner of some DP1 images.
The same goes true with the Sigma Photo Pro 3.2 for Macintosh, plus the added benefit of correcting a color balance anomaly.
