Sharp to Launch Aquos TV Screens for Personal Computers

Sharp LC-26P1-W AQUOS TV for PC

Sharp Corporation is introducing three new models in its AQUOS P-Series of flatscreen TVs intended for use with personal computers.

Coming from Sharp – which specializes in TV screens – the new computer monitors will feature full-HD panel and a Picture-in-Picture function that allows a TV program to be displayed in a window within the full PC image display.

The new monitors – the LC-32P1-W, the LC-26P1-W and the LC-22P1-W (32”, 26” and 22” respectively) – also have a full suite of connecting jacks, in particular, a PC input jack, to support a wide range of devices including game machines and HD media equipment like Blu-ray Disc players.

Its HDMI input supports 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p, and 1080p displays. The new TV/PC monitors will initially be available in Japan.
