Say Goodbye to Microsoft Digital Image Suite

Microsoft Digital Image Suite

The MS Digital Image Suite is no more. Microsoft has decided to discontinue the product, saying many of its digital imaging tools can be found in new Microsoft titles and services including Windows Vista.

Leftover products will still be sold through retail outlets while supplies last, and the company will support users of the applications for up to three years from date of purchase or April 30, 2010, whichever is first.

The MS Digital Image Suite was designed to compete with Adobe Photoshop Elements, a simpler version of Photoshop. Windows Vista offers similar functionality to Digital Image, but with far less options.

Microsoft recently launched Expression Studio, which includes Expression Design, a professional illustration and graphic design tool.
