Samsung has issued new firmware for both the NX100 and NX10 compact interchangeable lens cameras, improving autofocus while recording video and when shooting in low light and low contrast settings.

Panorama shooting has also been added to the Scene modes, and OIS, or Optical Image Stabilization, is now available when using Samsung’s 50-200mm II lens by selecting the feature on the camera’s screen.

Samsung said the firmware upgrade also includes an improved Movie Auto-Focus, using the latest algorithms from camcorder technology for improving the steadiness of video recording when moving from subject to subject.
