RPG Keys to Speed Up Lightroom by 50%

RPG Keys

Adobe Lightroom’s fine and it has found acceptance among a significant number of professional photographers. But if you noticed, it takes so much time to edit your photos one by one, not because LR is inherently slow – speed is a function of how much power your computer has – but the workflow program lacks the kind of keyboard shortcuts that could speed things up.

Enter RPG Keys. It takes advantage of many of Lightroom’s shortcuts and also creates shortcuts for most of the key tools of Lightroom. Coupled with a specially designed keyboard, editing images and navigating Lightroom is now as simple as a single push to our keyboard keys. With the RPG keys you can edit photos in Develop mode and Library mode and even edit images while the image editing panel is out of view.

Tim Riley created the program and keyboard. He’s also a wedding photographer (imagine the volume of photos he has to work with).

“Think about the 1 to 5 seconds it takes you to find the correct slider or button using your mouse while adjusting each image…” Tim says. “Then think about all the different things you do to each of your images. If it takes you 3 seconds to find each editing tool, and you make 20 edits, you are spending over 60 seconds editing each photo. Imagine being able to make those same 20 changes in less than 5 seconds.”
