Rollei Rolls Out Touch-Screen Compactline 360 TS, 370 TS

Rollei Compactline 360 TS Digital Camera

Two new touch-screen cameras from Rollei: the Compactline 360 TS, pictured above, and the Compactline 370 TS, both of which will be available from the end of September in “Marilyn Monroe pout” packaging.

Why Marilyn Monroe? The new owners of the company have found a link to the Monroe name via Bruno Bernard who took photos of Marilyn in the 1940’s with his Rolleiflex camera, and they will be showcasing this fact plus a number of the Hollywood diva’s photos at Photokina 2010 on September 21 to 26.

The Rollei Compactline 360 TS features 12 megapixels, 3-inch touch-screen LCD, 4x optical zoom starting at 28mm and 720p HD video recording functionality. The Compactline 370 TS has all of those but it has a beefier image sensor at 14 megapixels. The new compacts will retail at €100 for the 360 TS and €130 for the 370 TS ($130 and $170, respectively).
