RICOH has announced the new GXR A12 system lens mount that allows users to use Leica M lenses with GXR cameras. With an APS-C size CMOS sensor built in, users can now fit a wide variety of M-mount lenses with Ricoh’s GXR systems; even more if using an adapter.

The A12 also features a new focal plane shutter and an electronic shutter, a number of lens correction functions for various lenses, and a focus-assist function to improve the accuracy of manual focusing.

The Ricoh GXR A12 will ship beginning September 9, priced at about $650, with the Soft Case B SC-75B at $65 and the Soft Case T SC-75T at $35.
