Ricoh Announces GR Digital II Premium Compact Camera

Ricoh GR Digital II Premium Compact Camera

Ricoh Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced the new GR Digital II premium compact camera, successor to its well-received GR Digital released last October 2005.

The GR Digital II is equipped with the new GR Engine II image processor to maintain the resolution, tone characteristics, and color saturation of the original GR Digital, while achieving reduction in noise.

This GR Engine II is matched with a 10-megapixel 1/1.75-inch CCD image sensor and an F2.4 aperture, f5.9 mm focal length (equivalent to 28 mm on a 35mm camera) GR Lens.

The GR Digital II also features an electronic level function that allows users to know if the camera is level while looking at the LCD monitor.

And if square pictures appeal to you, the GR Digital II does that too.
