Here’s hoping this clicks: the organizers of the PMA trade show have changed the name of the event to CliQ 2011, following a less-than-stellar PMA 2010 held in Anaheim, CA instead of the usual Las Vegas, NV venue. It was a more subdued event, and Canon opted to stay away from that trade show.
Now it is springing back to life with a new brand name and a determination to bring it back to Las Vegas in September 6-11, 2011, and they’re calling it their inaugural event under the CliQ brand.
The website itself, www.cliqworld.com, promises to offer tips, tricks and training for photographers, discounts for photography gear and software, and interaction with peers via local events. The blurb says, “CliQ is building the biggest and best educational event in photography.” We look forward then to CliQ 2011 in September in Las Vegas.
