Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS) USA has redesigned its EZ-DUB optical drive to make it compact and more elegant while maintaining its functions.
The new Lite-On DX-20A4PU EZ-DUB DVD writer features two touch-sensitive buttons that glow a neon blue when used. Marked DUB and FILE, the buttons can be used as shortcuts to the most commonly used functions with most optical drives: DUB for duplicating a disc and FILE for backing up files from a computer.
The DX-20A4PU re-writable DVD dual (+/-) format drive can write on discs with up to 8.5-GB in double-layer capacity and offers a 20x DVD write speed.
PLDS (Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions) is a joint venture between Royal Philips Electronics of The Netherlands and Lite-On IT Corp of Taiwan.
