PhotoAcute Studio was already a capable image enhancing software when it first came out, but now it got even better. Version 2.10 now allows the user to extract high-quality still frames from digital video.

This could be useful, not only on a personal level when you want to extract a few shots from your family video, but also on a professional level when all you have is a staged photo and your video of a president who does not want photographers to take his pictures (that was President Bush two weeks ago at the White House).

PhotoAcute Studio works by using several consecutive frames to create high-resolution and low-noise picture that is much better than the single frame.

The company says PhotoAcute Studio has a simple and intuitive interface and is quite easy to use. Right now it is available as a Windows application but the Mac version will come out in the second quarter of 2007.
