Dell announced today the new Studio Hybrid PC – it’s energy efficient and ultra-compact, according to the company.

Dell said Studio Hybrid PCs are more flexible than standard desktops since they are about 80% smaller, and use energy-efficient components that translate into a PC that uses about 70% less power than a typical desktop.

Each PC comes standard with an HDMI port as well as an RF wireless keyboard and mouse that have a range of 27-30 feet and do not require line-of-sight. Blu-ray player and TV tuner are options as well.

The Studio Hybrid uses the mobile Penryn T8100 dual-core processor and features a slot-loading DVD burner. Other features include a 250GB or 320GB hard drive, Firewire port, digital audio-out port (TOSlink connector), an 8-in-1 media card reader, 2GB of RAM, and Intel Mobile 965 integrated graphics.

Dell’s Studio Hybrid PCs are on sale now, with prices starting at $499.
