Pentacon Rolls Out 3 New Compacts

Germany’s Pentacon has announced 3 new digital compact cameras: the Praktica luxmedia 12-XS, Praktica luxmedia 8403 and the Praktica DCZ 8.1.

The Praktica luxmedia 12-XS is a 12-megapixel model equipped with a 3-inch LTPS-TFT color monitor and 3x optical zoom. This camera offers different shooting modes, voice recording, video 720×400, smile detection, digital antishake, and face tracking. It has 32 MB built-in memory, and an SD Card slot.
Its Pictbridge function allows direct connection to a printer.

The Praktica luxmedia 8403 is an 8-megapixel camera offering 3x zoom, 3-inch LTPS-TFT LCD, 22 shooting modes, voice recording, face tracking, smile detection, panorama function and SDHC support.

The Praktica DCZ 8.1 also has 8 megapixels and 3x zoom, 2.7-inch LTPS-TFT monitor, 16 MB internal memory extendable with SD/SDHC card, face tracking, 15 scene modes, PASM mode and smile detection.
