Photo-sharing site PBase.com has released Issue No. 8 of its magazine featuring the work of Filipino photographer Manuel Librodo, Jr., a budding new talent in Southeast Asia.

Librodo, who is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, shares his art through seminars and workshops. In the January issue of PBase magazine, he shares his photos – mostly portraiture – with homegrown wit.

PBM: What is the most important element for you in what you would term as a ‘good photograph’?

“Light. The photo has to show flirtatious light. They add drama to the scene. They make the picture lyrical,” says the young photographer, who still has to have his own studio. His gear includes the Nikon D200 with 70-200mm F2.8, 17-55mm 2.8 and 60mm F2.8 Nikkor lenses.
