Oregon Scientific has the new HD ATC9K All-Terrain video camera; all-terrain because you can take it with you scuba diving down to a depth of 65 feet under the ocean or up to 12,500 feet up in the air jumping out of a plane (with a parachute, hopefully!)
In-between heaven and sea, you can go rough-riding with it on a mountain bike, para-sailing, white-water rafting, sea kayaking and all sorts of extreme sports. The ATC9K also features a built-in G-sensor that measures the force of gravity during acceleration, deceleration and hang time, allowing users to record and review every detail of their performance. You can strap it to a helmet, handlebars, surfboard or snowboard so it goes with you anywhere you go and record everything you do.
The new camera features full 1080p professional quality HD video, shoots up to 60 frames per second, has 130 degree wide field of view, captures 5-megapixel still photos, and has a built-in color LCD display that allows users to preview and play back videos.
This extreme camera for extreme sports, which should also do very well in heavy duty industrial applications, is available now for about $300.
