Olympus UK to Raise Prices April 1, Blames Falling Currency

Olympus UK

Olympus UK will increase the prices of its DSLR lenses and accessories by about 15%. Amateur Photographer reports that Olympus had sent letters to its UK dealers explaining that the price increase is due to the falling value of the British pound against the Euro in recent months.

The price escalation, which will take effect on April 1, will affect all imaging and audio accessories including DSLR lenses and flashguns.

Olympus UK is advising their dealers to stock up on key accessories now. If you’re in the UK and you intend to buy something Olympus, you barely have 5 days before the price increase takes effect next week.
