2008 Northern Short Course in Photojournalism

The 28th Northern Short Course in Photojournalism will be held on March 13, 14 and 15, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in Rochester, New York.

This is an annual workshop under the auspices of the National Press Photographer’s Association (NPPA), an organization which seeks to advance the interest of photojournalists and invite more practitioners to the profession.

There will be workshops and lectures on topics such as studio lighting, location lighting, photo ethics, image editing and the business side of photojournalism.

The short course will also touch on the audio and video aspects of photojournalism and will offer basic and advance lessons on multimedia.

The focus on still photography will offer portfolio reviews where participants can have their work critiqued by experts in the profession.
