In case you haven’t noticed, Adobe Photoshop CS4 is now shipping, along with the whole bunch of Adobe CS4 applications, of course. The new Photoshop CS4 features a unified tabbed interface, improved color correction and non-destructive editing tools a la Lightroom. It also adds OpenGL and 64-bit support to make things just a little zippier for Windows users.

Adobe said the new Content-Aware Scaling tool in Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop CS4 Extended automatically recomposes an image as it is resized, preserving vital areas as it adapts to new dimensions. It also provides the ability to paint, composite, and animate 3D models using familiar tools in Photoshop CS4 Extended.

Photoshop CS4 alone is $699. You can also choose from among the many packages of Adobe CS4: Design Premium is $1799, Web Premium $1699 as with Production Premium, and the CS4 Master Collection which includes the whole nine plus the kitchen sink would set you back $2499 (This now is Godzilla, not just your 800-pound gorilla).
