Nikon announced today, November 16, their brand new D40 entry-level DSLR, confirming rumors over the past week about its impending release.
The 6.1-megapixel Nikon D40 takes SD memory cards, shoots in RAW or JPEG, has the now standard 2.5-inch LCD display and comes in a kit that bundles an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens, all for a grand total of $600.
Now, even grandma can shoot good pictures.
