Nokia today launched the N82, a brand new camera phone with brilliant photo and video capabilities. The 5-megapixel phone is the latest multimedia computer optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity, says Nokia.
To demonstrate the phone’s new chops, Nokia is hosting a virtual launch here; the video – recorded entirely on the N82 – looked convincing. With the new Xenon flash, the photos shown also appeared very promising.
This could be the end of grainy photos and poor video quality churned out by the usual camera phones. While Samsung earlier demonstrated a bulky 5MP camera phone, they seemed to have set that aside and it’s nowhere to be seen now.
The Nokia has certainly taken the camera phone to a new level with the new N82 and they are making it widely available to consumers beginning November 15, that’s today.
With a 5 megapixel camera, powerful Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics, the Nokia N82 delivers remarkably vivid photographs, even in low-light conditions. Fast camera activation, autofocus with a dedicated AF assist lamp, fast reloading between shots and DVD-like quality video capture make it a truly convenient and credible tool for capturing and telling your life stories.
The Nokia N82 also comes with GPS capability and a pre-installed Nokia Maps. The standard Nokia N82 sales package includes a 2GB microSD card.
