Nikon announced a new version of their professional level DSLR, the D2Xs this month which boasts some performance and feature upgrades such as a 2.5 inch 170 degree wide-view LCD, longer battery life, black and white mode, and firmware changes.
Most notable in terms of technology, perhaps, is the new image authentication system which allows the images to be confirmed as not having been modified in post. This feature is likely to be appreciated by law enforcement officials and such, but has some interesting implications in other fields as well.
