Nikon Rolls Out 3 New Nikkor DSLR Lenses

New Nikkor Lenses

Nikon also announced 3 new DSLR lenses today, a macro lens, a wide-angle telephoto and a tilt/shift perspective lens.

The new AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED lens is engineered specifically for extreme close-up photography, while still being perfectly suited for general imaging. Nikon says this lens can focus at a distance of approximately 18.5cm or about 7 ¼ inches at its closest, and allows photographers to capture close-up photography with reproduction ratios up to 1:1 (life-size).

The AF-S DX Nikkor 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens offers photographers wide-angle capability along with telephoto versatility. It is equipped with Nikon’s VR II (Vibration Reduction II) image stabilization and Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology for quiet, fast and accurate autofocus performance.

The new PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED lens is the latest in a series of lenses that are equipped with a tilt/shift mechanism that enables photographers the flexibility to effectively manipulate perspective, distortion and focus. This Perspective Control (PC) lens corrects linear distortion and aberration to deliver images that more accurately reproduce the view as the human eye sees it. Great for photographing architecture, landscapes, interiors and panoramas.
