Nikon Pours Out 8 New Coolpix Digital Cameras

It’s an avalanche of digital cameras from Nikon as they introduce eight new models to their Coolpix line: one in the P series, four in the S series and three in the L series.

Leading the pack is the Coolpix P5000, a 10-megapixel camera that allows creative controls. It has a host of advanced features that should be worthy of its $400 price tag.

The S50 and S50C models are slim and stylish models with an undulating wave surface design. These 7.2Mp cameras are virtually identical save for the email capability of the S50C; you can email photos directly from the camera.

The S200 and S500 are also quite stylish but a tad heavier (and bulkier); the S200 is constructed from brushed aluminum while the S500 is crafted in stainless steel.

The Coolpix L10, L11 and L12 combine high-quality design and construction with user-friendly features at affordable prices. The L10 has 5Mp, the L11 6Mp and the L12 packs 7.1 megapixels.
