Nikon D4 Now Official

The Nikon D4 is now official, following its announcement Thursday by Nikon itself. The new full-frame camera boasts “a multitude of advanced new features” according to Nikon, foremost of which are an Ethernet port, 91k pixel metering sensor, an upgraded autofocus sensor that can work in low light and small aperture, and expanded video capabilities.

The new Nikon flagship D4 shoots at 10 frames per second with full autofocus spewing out 16-megapixel image files.

It will be available next month at a retail price of $6,000 body only. It will make its first public appearance at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at booth # 11039 from January 10-13th, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.
