Modeling Tips from a Professional

Posing photo by Bob Pardue

Here are a few tips on posing that you can pass on to your models. It’s all about being natural, feeling comfortable and being confident.

Photographer Bob Pardue, who happens to be both a professional model and fashion photographer, says there is more to becoming a model than just standing there looking beautiful.

It needs a lot of practice to learn the different poses needed for modeling, he says. Make your posing look natural and be aware of the expression that your face and hands convey. There’s also the proper body language to observe.

Pardue also encourages models to get posing ideas and become and idea source themselves. A good rapport with your photographer will also work great.
