Minox DC 6033 WP Looks Exactly Like the ECOshot

Minox DC 6033 WP Digital Camera

Why does the MINOX DC 6033 WP digital camera look very much like the SeaLife ECOshot? As a matter of fact, they look identical to me; look here. My guess is that Minox of Germany is the camera maker and SeaLife is a re-brander (could very well be that SeaLife designed the camera and had it made by Minox).

Whatever, the Minox looks very sturdy too with its rubber-armored body that’s built to withstand water, dust and dirt. Minox says the DC 6033 WP is watertight up to a depth of 33 feet (the ECOshot claims 75 feet).

So, if you want a sturdy camera that can dive with you – or go with you to the Rocky Mountains in winter or just frolic in the sandy beaches of Boracay, Philippines – the Minox DC 6033 is there to give you company. Or is it the ECOshot?
