Microscopic Photography with Canon and X-Loupe

Denmark’s NKS Tech ApS has what they call the X-Loupe, a digital portable field microscope which combines a digital camera and a microscopic module.

You can see through it and take pictures of very minute objects magnified up to 150 times, and it beats toting around that bulky school microscope.

NKS Tech recently demonstrated the pocket-sized X-Loupe at the Photokina 2006 in Cologne, Germany showcasing a camera microscope solution for the Canon Digital IXUS 60 camera.

NKS Micro Camera

The camera transformed into a digital portable field microscope in just a few seconds. The 2-in-1 device is so easy to use that even kids can effortlessly capture amazing microscopic shots.

And because it’s digital, the images can easily be transferred to the PC or notebook via USB or SD card.
