Mastering the Nikon D7000 by Darrell Young is a new book (Rocky Nook, 496 pages, $34.95) that could help the user master the complex and powerful DSLR camera.

The book explores the features and capabilities of the camera in a way that far surpasses the user’s manual. It guides readers through the camera features with step-by-step setting adjustments, color illustrations and detailed how, when, and why explanations for each option. Every button, dial, switch, and menu configuration setting is explored in a user-friendly manner, with suggestions for setup according to various shooting styles.

Darell’s writing style is friendly and informative allowing readers to easily follow directions, while feeling as if a friend dropped in to share his knowledge. The learning experience for new D7000 users goes beyond just the camera itself and covers basic photography technique.

Darrel Young is an information technology engineer by trade. He has been an avid photographer since 1968; he has used Nikon cameras and Nikkor lenses since 1980. He has an incurable case of Nikon Acquisition Syndrome (NAS) and delights in working with Nikon’s newest digital cameras.
