Manfrotto Releases 561B Lightweight Monopod

Manfrotto 561B Lightweight Monopod

Manfrotto has released a new monopod, the 561B, a fluid monopod designed specifically for the professional videographer.

Made of aluminum, and designed for use with DV and HDV cameras, the 561B is a four-section monopod equipped with a fluid head that is able to support a load up to 4kg. Its key feature is the fluid cartridge incorporated into the base to give a very smooth panning action.

The new 561B is a stronger, taller, fluid monopod than its predecessor the 560B model. The 561B is able to extend from a compact 76cm when carried to an impressive 2 meters when extended. Designed with three retractable feet to ensure a firm footing, the 561B helps videographers get those images when space is at a premium and is ideal for shooting footage over crowds.

The fluid video head (701 version) on the 561B features a new sliding plate. With an ergonomic pan-bar, it allows for smooth panning and tilting movements.
