Here’s an $80 printer from Lexmark with WiFi built in.
The Lexmark Z1420 Wireless Color Printer offers the convenience of printing from anywhere in your home without the clutter of cables.
The Z1420 uses the 802.11g protocol which should make it compatible with the average home wireless network. However, if you have a computer that’s not WiFi equipped, you can still use the USB connector to print.
It boasts print speeds of up to 24 pages per minute and 18 ppm, if you print only in draft mode, Lexmark admits. But who does that?
Lexmark has been known for their low-cost printers all these years, trailing behind industry leaders HP, Epson and Canon. My own experience with a cheap Lexmark turned out to be quite expensive when it died on me after just two months of occasional use.
